הסדרה מספרת על חיי היומיום של ילדים צעירים הפזורים ברחבי העולם, הגרים רחוק מקהילה יהודית או ממשפחתם המורחבת ופועלים לצד הוריהם בשליחות הרבי לעזור לכל יהודי בגשמיות וברוחניות. הסדרה נכתבה על ידי אלה וורזוב שליחת חב"ד במוסקבה, רוסיה, וחנה אוירכמן שליחת חב"ד בטאלאהאסי, פלורידה, במטרה להכיר לקוראים הצעירים את חייהם של ילדים כמותם, בגילם, החיים במרחקים, דומים להם אך גם שונים.
